Free Motion Quilting - Blocks Class

Oftentimes, books and classes only teach you how to do free motion fillers that leave you wanting more information on how to quilt blocks and border combinations. During this class, Megan will teach you how to look at blocks and break down the images into simple shapes that can be custom quilted. You will finally go beyond quilting edge to edge designs and gain confidence in creating unique and exciting finished quilts.

Megan has an interactive teaching style and you will explore design ideas together as a group on a variety of blocks before trying the techniques on this beautiful cheater panel by Lori Holt. You will learn tricks for using your free motion quilting, ruler work, thread and batting choices to enhance the image and make it shine. She will teach you how to stitch around applique designs to make them pop. When you've finished quilting everyone will believe that you have pieced a lovely sampler quilt instead of using a printed panel. Don’t worry, your secret is safe with us.
